Abstract:
The aim of this project is to setup a website (AUD-Live) that will offer AUD students’ stream able media over the university’s network. Students will be able to share videos across the network and be able to watch live video streams. The media will be available through a built in media player in the browser.
In this project, Data warehousing will play a major role by making sure that all the entries in our Database will make it through the ACID test; Atomicity, Consistency, Isolation and Durability of the database. Security will be implemented by matching students, instructors and staff members to their AUD accounts. This will allow the code of conduct to be observed and maintained in the university. The project portal will have a built in media player that will be developed using Java technologies and open source resources to be able to view the recorded or live streams that happen in AUD (for example: Broadcasting club events).
